dot angular is a piece that aesthetically falls close to Berlin techno; the experimentalism is not found in the form or in the fundamental stylistic features, but rather in a simple generative element, the timbre of the bass line. The harmonic content in the bass line is randomized via a custom Max4Live patch of my creation. With each MIDI note-on message, eight macros affecting the timbre are randomized. This results in a varied outcome each time the piece is performed.

dot angular exists as a fixed track three and half minutes in length, but could be utilized in a live techno situation with an indefinite length that might be suitable for club performance.
